I play poker on the Internet. It’s an exciting world game that couples odds, numbers, and mental. Unfortunately, losers like Republican Bobby Goodlatte are trying to take away this past time with laws like H.R. 4411, the Internet Gaming Prohibition and Enforcement Act, which passed the House in July by a 317-93 margin. The silly bill is coming up for a vote soon and it’s important that you let your Senator realize that you are against to yet another prohibition on enjoying yourself.
The Poker Players Alliance is giving a phone march on Washington today that makes it simple for you to contact your Senator. And let them know you are serious about doing what you want with your time and money.
Imagine a world where the senate governs even your free time to play poker? What's next? Banning checkers or hockey? Please tell your fellow poker playing friends or even friends that just hate too much government dipping their silly noses in all that we do. Poker is fun and is a choice, just like all other activities we enjoy. Contact your local senator and let them know that you are very serious about still playing poker and if they vote for this bill, it will affect their voting for them next time you vote. The internet gaming prohibition is not only a wistful bill, it threatens the very fabric of what is great about America! That is the freedom to raise, fold or be a fish! |
